PS40 Super Green Eco Team 2010-11: January 2013

Welcome to the 2010-11 PS40 Super Green Eco Team Blog!

In 2007-08 PS40 won the NYC Dept. of Sanitation's TrashMaster's Recycling competition; making PS40 the best elementary school recyclers in Manhattan with a prize of $3000!

In the school year 2008-09 the SGET participated in the 'Reduce and Reuse Challenge' competition leading PS40 to be awarded the top prize, the Golden Apple for best elementary school, city-wide!!

Last year (2009-10) SGET & PS40 participated in the final Department of Sanitation Golden Apple Competitions, 'Team up to clean up'! PS40 was awarded the Golden Apple for both the Manhattan Borough & Citywide divisions. They were also recipients of the NY Restoration Project Rose Award.
